The History of Gunpowder Tea

Gunpowder tea has been produced for over 800 years in China. Its name comes from the appearance of the tightly rolled leaves, which resemble gunpowder pellets. This tea was traditionally enjoyed by the Chinese imperial court and was also widely traded along the famous Silk Road trade route.
