If you have recently found out that you are carrying an extra buddy around everywhere you go, and by this I mean if you are pregnant :), then you have probably found out that many soon to be mothers  cut down a lot on their caffeine consumption. This is not to say that you have to give up all tealike beverages, however caution should be taken when indulging in your true tea consumables as caffeine should generally be avoided.

So if you can’t have your favorite black, green, oolong, or white tea then what can you have you might be asking? Well, if you are wondering what types of tea you can drink while you are pregnant then look no further as I will go over a couple different options as to the tea-like drinks you can still enjoy while you carry around your new bundle of joy!

The first type of tea you can enjoy is the herbal tea variety. One of the favorite teas that I find pregnant woman can turn to for a soothing and relaxing cup is our peppermint tea to the right here. Peppermint is a great tea for expecting mothers as it has no caffeine, is completely herbal and has many additional benefits. Some of these benefits include soothing of an upset stomach, reduction in nausea as well as an overall relaxing cup of tea to settle your tight and sore muscles. You really can’t go wrong with this cup of tea so try it out.

The next type of tea that is often the replacement for your traditional teas are the Rooibos variety. This is a newer entry onto the local tea market and is kicking up a lot of excitement. The first reason is because there are a lot of http://theteacupany.com/tea-talk/rooibos-health-benefits/ that can be obtained from drinking this fun little drink. So if you are looking at something nice and warm to drink I would suggest taking a look at drinking rooibos during pregnancy as it is a great alternative to those people craving a heartier tasting drink. On top of its amazing taste there are also many health benefits to rooibos.

Some of the things that rooibos can help with is the delivery of calcium, magnesium and many other anti oxidants. Once your bundle of joy has arrived into this world and grown up to a large enough size to drink on their own you are even able to serve your child roobios with a little milk or cream. It is really a drink for anyone and everyone!

Here are some of our favorite Roobios drinks so take a look at them and see if there are any that strike your fancy:
